The Grateful Dead have sold more than 35 million albums worldwide. The band attracted dedicated fans (known as “Deadheads”) who would follow them from concert to concert, often for weeks or months on end. The Grateful Dead, who were active from 1965 to 1995, were renowned for their varied set lists, and they reportedly performed in excess of 500 different songs at their concerts. Multi-disc releases (e.g., box sets) are featured if the entire running order is made up of live tracks. Their most recent live album, Dave’s Picks: Volume 29, was released on 1 February 2019.Īll 167 albums included in this record are wholly live albums that were released on vinyl, on CD or digitally.
